The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
